How to Avoid Sea-Sickness
A smooth trip starts with good preparation. To enjoy your day on the water to the fullest, here are our top tips for avoiding sea-sickness:
Skip the alcohol the night before.
Avoid drinking or drink in moderation. Alcohol and hangovers are one of the most common triggers for sea-sickness.
Take anti-motion sickness medication.
We recommend Dramamine or Stugeron—both are effective and available over the counter at any pharmacy.
Take one tablet the night before your trip
Take a second tablet one hour before boarding the boat
Eat something light.
A light meal before the trip is better than an empty stomach. Avoid greasy or acidic foods.
Stay outside and keep your eyes on the horizon.
Fresh air and focusing on a fixed point can help reduce nausea.
Tell the crew if you’re feeling unwell.
Our team is experienced and will do everything they can to assist you.
