Option 1
Pyramid Rock is unique in that you have a strong chance of diving with many smaller species of sharks at a depth of 12 metres. A thick kelp forest borders the channel making this quintessential habitat.
No cage required
Option 2
GIVING BACK….
Do your bit for scientific research by collecting data! Kelp forest fish identification snorkel!
Record the presence of all fish species using the Roving Diver Technique (RDT) and ID reference slates (don’t worry, we will be there to help!). We also record the presence of the local shy shark species which we often encounter (these are small harmless shark species).
This is a beach or rocky shore entry, so no boat is required and the snorkelling is no more than 50 meters from the coast. This activity is great for families and people new to snorkelling. For the more adventurous you can survey on SCUBA or free dive. It is a very rewarding activity, great fun and there is lots to be seen!
Note: We outsource to a preferred supplier as these dives are specialised.
