Activity Description

Whales & Wine: A Signature Cape Town Experience

Spend the day discovering what makes Cape Town truly iconic — from majestic marine life to historic vineyards.

Whale Watching Adventure

Your day begins with a convenient hotel pick-up and transfer to either Simon’s Town Harbour or Hout Bay Harbour, where our passionate and experienced whale team will welcome you aboard.

The location for your whale watching tour is chosen the day before based on weather and optimal sightings for Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whales:

Simon’s Town: Spacious vessel (max 28 guests)

Hout Bay: Intimate 400 BHP Gemini power boat (max 10 guests)

This 2.5-hour scheduled boat tour offers an incredible opportunity to see these graceful giants up close, often set against the spectacular backdrop of False Bay or the dramatic Hout Bay coastline.

Private Wine Tour – Groot Constantia

Once you return to the harbour, your private guide will be ready to whisk you away on a scenic drive to the historic Groot Constantia Wine Estate, established in 1685.

Your wine experience includes:

A guided cellar tour

A curated wine tasting

A souvenir branded wine glass

Access to the Manor House Museum

For lunch, choose from two on-site restaurants offering delicious local cuisine—lunch is for your own account, but the setting among the vines is truly unforgettable.

Time permitting, we may also visit the boutique Constantia Glen Winery for an added tasting experience.
